The most wonderful part of art is the creation process. I am very bad with marketing. I do what I can without affecting my art. I just love going to the studio and immerse myself in painting. I experiment a lot which results in some success and some failure.

I have a permanent exhibition in a tea room in south Cambridgeshire. It is very nice to sip a cup of coffee and see people talking about my paintings. A lot of people ask how long it takes to do a painting. I always say sometimes choosing, preparing and mixing the paints actually takes longer than the painting itself! Great place to meet friends, family and have a lovely home made food. poppysbarn.co.uk

The studio is in a farm land surrounded by beautiful nature and lots of tractors! Nature gives me inspiration. Sometimes I have an idea which revolves around colours rather than shapes. When doing abstract painting the paints have a mind of their own. Sometimes they surprise me and dance on the canvas. A lot of times it ends up nice but sometimes it turns out a disaster! The interesting thing that I have found is that one painting leads to another. I paint one canvas which gives me an idea for the next one.

Enough of me babbling on. Some images of my studio and the adventures on the way!
